The department encourages staff and
students to participate in

training for students is compulsory.
· Social awareness program like
blood donation camp, plantation of trees
etc. are carried out.
· Participating
in National Cadet Corps (NCC) for students
is must.
· Training awareness
seminars for department subjects like
embedded systems, microcontrollers etc
is arranged.
ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES
The department organizes
· National Level Conference and
Technical Symposium for students every
year.
· Industrial visits for the students
are carried under faculty guidance.
· Guest lecturers are engaged
to update subject-core knowledge and
are open to all academic years.
· Counseling for students by
the staff is regularly carried out.

The department works and the present
innovations in the electrical field
are updated to staff and students notice
by the newsletter published by the department.
Moreover the events like social awareness
programs like aids awareness rally etc.
are given in the newsletter.
INAUGURATION
FUNCTION The Department organizes
special Inauguration Function for the
second year students to develop and
enhance mutual co-operation with their
classmates and their seniors. It brings
a cordial relation with the department.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE:
Each year department conducts National
Level Conference to bring subject awareness
to the students thereby equipping them
to build a strong career. Experienced
dignitaries in academic part are invited
regularly as chief guest for subject
knowledge and guiding them for their
higher studies.
SYMPOSIUM:
Technical level Symposium is
organized by Department for all the
academic year students to enlighten
them with technical awareness and to
provide an industrial exposure for the
students. Experienced dignitaries in
technical part are invited regularly
as chief guest for symposium to motivate
the students and aiding them for career
guidance.
SPORTS:
Department also encourages the students
to participate in the college indoor
and outdoor competitions. It also motivates
every individual by awarding for their
excellence. Various NCC activities like
awareness rallies and special camps
are carried out in a diligent manner
supported by department.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT AND TOUR
BY STUDENTS:
· In
our department every year INDUSTRIAL
VISIT AND TOUR are conducted for all
the academic year students to enlighten
them with technical awareness and to
provide an industrial exposure for the
students.
· Students have
visited sub-station in Sriperamabdur
near Chennai and Ennore Thermal Plant
in north Chennai and made a detailed
study of power plants and the substations.
· Students have visited many
electrical companies based on switch
gears,relays,transformers,HT <
motors etc in Bangalore and in Chennai.
· Students regularly underwent
Implant Training in Tamil Nadu electricity
board, Neyveli Lignite Corporation,
Ashok Leyland etc., |
